Phil Heywood at The Post Lounge

This initially small independent feature film began its life prior to the madness of 2020 - 2021and has endured just about as much as any filmmaker, cast or crew would want one of their projects to encounter. Notwithstanding the trials and tribulations of sporadically filming when and where possible throughout 2 years of consistent lockdowns, the entire team is extraordinarily proud of what's been achieved despite the seemingly never-ending challenges that were constantly presented.

With a passionate and dedicated team already creating magic during principal photography, producer Blake Northfield and his team at Bronte Pictures subsequently joined the production to provide valuable post-production services.

From here The Cost continued to be a shining light, making its way to The Post Lounge to be worked on by none other than one of Australia's (and arguably one of Hollywood's) greatest and most prolific sound masters, Phil Heywood as the Re-Recording Mixer.

Phil Heywood has been involved in the film industry since 1977, complete with a list of impressive credits that commands respect. Some of the iconic titles that Phil has worked on include The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Truman Show, The Great Gatsby and Happy Feet to name a few. His superior sound re-recording and mixing skills have seen him win over a dozen coveted industry awards and accolades, but of course we'd love to see him add to that list with his work on The Cost.

Having Phil Heywood working his magic on The Cost is akin to adding the final coat of polish on a showroom car, it is the sealer that will help tie all other elements together, resulting in a highly attractive and polished final product. We couldn't be more excited to have him work on The Cost, accompanied by Sam Gain-Emery as the Supervising Sound Editor.

Here's just a snippet of all we can show for now in the final stages of post-production. Special mention to Ronnie Minder for the ominous score, in yet another collaboration between he and Director Matthew Holmes.

There's not long to go now until you'll be able to see this film, so stay tuned for more updates as they will undoubtedly flow and follow soon. We can't wait for audiences to see this.

The Cost - coming soon.
