We are thrilled to announce that the latest film from Prima Lux Films and La Rosa Productions, “Freelance”, will be premiering at this year’s MonsterFest film festival!
“Freelance” is a gripping new feature film that promises to captivate audiences with its intense storyline and stellar performances. This film marks a significant milestone for Nicole Pastor, who takes on his first leading role in a feature film. Joining her are the talented Jordan Fraser-Trumble, Stephen Degenaro, Jasper Bagg and Hannah Brooke, each bringing their unique flair to the screen.
This project is particularly special, as it marks the second collaboration of Nicole Pastor La Rosa Productions, as seen in “The Cost”, as well as the third collaboration with Jordan and Executive Producer Adam La Rosa which began with “The Legend of Ben Hall”, "The Cost" and now "Freelance", both of which are currently streaming on Stan Australia.
Directed by John Balazs in his second feature film following the brutal "Rage" in 2021 and produced by Marlane Ghmed, “Freelance” is set to be a standout at MonsterFest. It's a disturbing, nightmarish tale with echoes of Joel Shumacher’s 8MM and Brian De Palma’s BLOW OUT. The festival is known for celebrating the best in genre cinema, making it the perfect festival for this highly anticipated premiere.

When a down-on-her luck video editor takes on a mysterious, well-paying job cutting snuff films, she is haunted by visions of the people in her videos.
